Powerpoints can be used to summarize different things and give people time to soak in the information that is given to them. While using these powerpoints and applying them to Bloom's taxonomy of learning, cognitive senses come into play as it becomes easy to think because of the fact that it is conceptualized in sections rather than thrown in all at once. The psychomotor domain keeps a steady motion when it comes to learning due to the aforementioned concept of sectioning the details of what may be studied. For example, talking about a movie could be one of those concepts. From the beginning to the end, you can create transitions that can smooth discussions throughout the presentation.

I chose Stack Overflow because it is a free and easy forum where you can learn new things within a community of people with the same interests. Also, if you have questions you can get answers to further assist with solving potential issues.

Adaptive technology is created with the purpose of expanding learning for those with disabilities and maintaining their needs and accommodations. Magnifiers are used to help boost vision, and amplifiers as well as other tools can be used to help the student progress with his or her learning abilities. I have never seen anyone need assistance with any tools, but extra tutoring helped smooth the process of learning for a few people with said disabilities. I don't see any challenges that would hinder the process, but adjusting to them may take some time.

I really enjoyed the web design assignment because it reminded me of how super creative it was making pages like MySpace and Tumblr. Doing this assignment gave it an extra twist and made me get creative with education if I were to teach. The one thing I did not like initially about working the site was how at times it thought I was still editing. In the end result, after a few tries, I finally got the site published. All in all, I really enjoyed it.

With Diigo, I learned how to utilize the experience of editing and adding in sticky notes to certain sections of the website. It is really helpful because throughout college I have encountered classes where I have digital readings, and it helps to highlight certain notes to go back to when studying for exams and other assignments. Research is a useful need for Diigo and I really enjoyed using it this semester.

ILP "Edmodo" Design

My independent learning project will be centered around Edmodo. I like how you can create quizzes and other homework assignments on one platform, set due dates, as well as the length of time that a student can use to take a quiz. My assignments are relatively easy for a 9th grade language arts class.

The school I researched was Gretna Elementary School, in Gretna, FL. The teacher is Dwayne Ivory, and he teaches 3rd grade. In his profile, he gives a layout of the classes he teaches, as well as the books he uses. He uses Harcourt Math, as well as Harcourt Science. He talks about the many topics such as number sense, geometry, weather, climate and others. An email address and phone number is also provided.
Having a teacher website or a social platform to communicate and give updates on myself as well as what the class schedule would provide a more efficient form of communication and be more informative. I would use my own domain to establish information and keep a seamless system going that would benefit the parents, students and teacher.
The 3D printer could be used for elementary arts and crafts. Each child can have their time to craft something and present it. In my opinion, the 3D printer was ahead of its time and still is because of how it can create different things. It brings the pen to life in a matter of minutes.

Web 2.0 tools are very effective when trying to get a classroom involved as a whole. It provides the benefit of being able to interact with the teacher, as well as each other to help boost productivity and make sure things pan out the way they should. Twitter helps to keep a back and forth, while blogs help the students express what they feel about the subject or what particular issues they may need help with.

I never really found the most effective way to do presentations until I discovered Prezi. Prezi takes presentations and breathe life into them. From adding photos and real live visuals on how-to's, or just simple techniques through learning. It can be used for various subjects, no matter the grade.

Cloud computing helps out a lot when storing information. Sometimes it can be a hassle to carry around
notes and books so it would help to be able to store things to look at later. It can eliminate the "dog ate my
homework" excuse once and for all. Also, it can help when going back to certain things from earlier in the
semester, especially math or assignments that bounce off of each other.

My early course experiences on Twitter were slow compared to how I usually am on Twitter. Although I have yet to do much interaction, I hope to interact and get to know my classmates more to share the experience of all of us having a class together. While I do not plan on teaching at all in the future, I can hope that networking can get me a long way with a career. In class, I really enjoy Twitter being a learning method.

The digital divide may affect students because not everyone would be on the same page when learning. One student will get internet before another or other sorts of technology and it can affect a teacher if the student cannot get the wotk done. Therefore, there should be more methods for borrowing laptops or anything to help the student be a part of the class.

Educational games is definitely the way to go. It creates the infrastructure of all school not feeling like work 100% of the time. The teacher can feel like they are having more of an interactive experience rather than standing and lecturing the entire time. As far as what grade I would want to teach, I would want to teach 3rd grade. It's a happy medium in elementary school and you can learn more advanced things in a fun way. Different types of apps or programs can offer a fun experience and it is all about determining which ones to use.

There are a few ELA standards that I would implement in class, such as using multimedia to text to make the class more of a visual learning experience, instead of just a listening one. Using images and videos would help to boost the morale of the classroom as a whole and give it new energy, while being used as a teaching platform along the way. Media is a more current aspect of how we learn today. With that in mind, it would help to include this as a way of learning. This would make it easier for tests, and creates more of a catchy environment for things to be easily learned.

For technology purposes, I would use this in a science class in high school among juniors. I would use technology to help teach more about the animals and technical aspects of animals that may be of importance when taking tests. Also, I would find Netflix documentaries that could be watched at school or home and there would be some sort of reward when determining the highest three grades. Instead of relying on the book, there would instead be questions from the movie itself to help benefit the visual learner.

The newsletter for me was a bit hard to create just how I wanted it to be. There were things in it that I felt could have been placed differently, due to the fact that they were not in the place they should have been. I learned how to add pictures which was very beneficial, however, the columns could have been more consistent. In order to improve on said mistakes, I plan on practicing on working on these more and continuing to bring more life to the newsletter projects themselves, so that they can be ready to be presented to students and parents alike.
